Hi Everybody,
I’m Henry R. “Highway Hank” Good. I live in Monticello, in southern New York state, 90 mile from the World Financial Capital, New York City. Monticello is a community of over 6000 residents in the Catskill Mountain Region. I am an Owner Operator, and owner of a well known 1981 Kenworth K-100C VIT Aerodyne, which is known around the world as “Hank’s Highway Hilton” I’m under contract with my truck to Parry Trucking of Nicholson, PA www.parrytrucking.com .I pull 48 and 53 dry vans with a large selection of goods, throughout the northeast and occasionally to the west coast. Every since I was a small boy, I was crazy about trucks, and always knew what I was going to be when I grew up. Being a Trucker, is a profession that I still enjoy. My first driving job was at age 12, on a local farm, driving the farm equipment during summer vacation. During summer vacation during high school I drove delivery trucks. I took my road test for my NY Class1 (Tractor Trailer) Licence on my 21st Birthday and have now been driving 28 years. I have been an owner operator since May 1976. My two biggest hobbies are truck shows and photography. These hobbies work well together, as when I’m at a truck show I also get to photograph all the other nice trucks at the shows. I have been sending these pictures to magazines around the world, but only few have been used. Now with the help of Webmaster friends in Germany including my new friend Werner, I’m able to show of all these nice truck photos.
Just for the record, I was born in Germany to an American father and German mother, and I still have a lot of relatives in Germany. That is why I have such a close contact to Germany. I also have a lot of friends in Germany, especially after my two visits to Germany with my Kenworth in 1992 and 1993. Welcome Truckers and Truck Fans,
my name is Werner and I live in the southern part of Germany about 20 Miles east of the beer capitol of the world, Munich. I am the webmaster of this homepage. Unfortunatly I am not driving trucks anymore, but it sure was a great time beeing independ and to be honest, I miss it a lot. In the meantime I returned to my profession, the IT business.
I better not compare my truck with Hank´s Highway Hilton. Mine was kept rather simple and it also looked like it. But over here in Germany a lot of things are different. For example: The citys are rather narrow, small and curvy. With an 18 wheeler you would have a hard time getting around. But nevertheless we also have tractor trailer combos with twelve wheels and a gross vehicle weight of 40 tons.
On this homepage German trucks will not be mentioned very often. Hank has much more interesting pictures to show the world as well as there are a lot more things to talk about. American trucks are in my opinion the most beautiful around the world and that´s why I am glad to have met Hank. With his show truck he has been around a lot and has even been to Germany. Besides being a professional driver he is a fan of American show trucks .
